Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination-2011 for Data Entry Operators and Lower Division Clerks (LDC).

The Staff Selection Commission invites online and offline applications for the following positions through a Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2011 :

Data Entry Operators,Minimum Qualification : 12th pass, Age Limit : 18-27, Pay band : Rs.5200-20200, Grade pay Rs.2400
Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Minimum Qualification : 12th pass, Age Limit : 18-27, Pay band : Rs.5200-20200 ,Grade pay Rs.1900

Online application Last date:14/09/2011.
Offline application Last date:16/09/2011.
Offline application deadline for Remote area candidates only:23/09/2011

Selection procedure : The Selection will be done on the basis of a single tier exam to be held on 04/10/2011 with two stages i.e. written examination (Multiple Choice Objective Type) and skill test in data entry/typing on computer as per the prescribed speed (which will be qualifying in nature). Skill test in Data Entry/Typing will be administered on Computer only.

Application Instructions : Duly filled application in the prescribed format (as given in the website mentioned at the bottom) should be sent to the Regional / Sub Office of the SSC depending upon the choice of the exam center by the candidates on or before the deadline i.e,16/09/2011 ( 23/09/2011 in case of candidates from remote areas.) OR Candidates may apply online at the SSC website http://ssconline.nic.in/ from 20/08/2011 to 14/09/2011 only .

Application Fee: A fee of Rs. 100/- is payable. No fee in case of SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman applicants only. Fee shall be paid only in the form of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)" These stamps can be availed at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices throughout the nation. Fee can also be paid via State Bank of India either by Challan or by on-line payment.

UPSC Geologists Exam 2011

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)

GEOLOGISTS EXAMINATION 2011

The Union Public Service Commission is going to organize the Geologists' Examination 2011 which shall start commencing from 3rd December, 2011 for recruitment to the following positions of Geologist in various departments of Govt. of India.The exam will be held at centers all across the nation. The posts are as follows:

Jr. Hydrologists [Scientist B] Group A : 07 positions in Central Ground Water Board.
Assistant Hydrologists Group B : 30 positions in Central Ground Water Board.
Geologist [Group A] : 300 positions in Geological Survey of India.

Eligibility:

(1) Age : All Candidates must 21- 32 years old as on 1st January, 2011. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per norms defined by Government of India.

(2) Educational Qualifications: Candidate must hold (i) Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University or (ii) Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration or (iii) Master's Degree in Hydrology or (iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

(3) Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Geologist's Examination, 2009 as described in the detailed advt.

Application Fee : A fee of Rs. 100/- is payable through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are not required to pay fees. However, OBC candidates must pay full fees.

Application Instructions : Candidates may apply online at UPSC website http://upsconline.nic.in from 20/08/2011 to 19/09/2011.

Candidates from far-flung areas can also apply through offline applications which can also be filled in the Common Application Form devised by UPSC for all its examination, which can be purchased from designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices all over the nation by making a cash payment of Rs. 30/-, which must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by Courier, on or before the deadline i.e, 26/09/2011.

INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICE (IES)/ INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE (ISS) EXAMINATION , 2011

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination commencing from 03rd December 2011 for recruitment to the Grade IV of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS). The exam will be held at various centers across the nation.
Online Application Deadline: 29/08/2011

Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

Age Limit : Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2011. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India norms.
Educational Qualifications:Interested Candidate for the Indian Economic Service (IES) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics and candidate for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics from a recognized University.

(C) Physical Standards: Interested Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2011 as prescribed in the detailed advt.

Application Fee : Online application -Rs. 100/- to be deposited in any branch of SBI or through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card and in case of Offline applications - Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are not required to pay fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

Online : Candidates need to apply Online only at http://upsconline.nic.in till the prescribed deadline i.e, 29/08/2011 till 11.59 pm only.

SCRA 2011 Exam Answer key | Solutions | Cut-off Marks

SCRA-2011-Exam-Answer-Keys-and-Solutions

SCRA 2011 Exam being conducted on 31 July 2011 by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.The approximate number of vacancies to be filled through the exam is 44. More a handful of seats more than 1.4 Lakh candidates apply which makes the competition even more stiff.

The SCRA 2011 consists of 3 Papers namely:

General Ability Test
Physical Science(Physics and Chemistry)
Mathematics

Each Paper carries a 200 Marks. All questions are MCQ type with four options out of which only one is correct. Candidates should keep in mind that there is negative marking for wrong answers.

As far as the cutoffs are concerned, UPSC never releases
the cutoff marks officially for any of its exam but here are some figures from the last years exam which might help you in deciding what sort of marks might help you in succeeding the exam.

Highest Scorer (written part):Akhil Jain ,354 marks.(Gen Category).
Highest Scorer (written part):Tuhin Sekhar ,313 marks.(OBC Category).
Highest Scorer (written part):Vivek Ranjan Maitrey ,344 marks.(SC Category).
Lowest Scorer (written part):Nihit Kumar singh (roll:14896),168 marks(General category).

Senior Library Information Assistant : 04 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs.4200, Age : 18-27 years
Laboratory Assistant : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs.4200, Age : 18-27 years
Junior Cartographic Assistant : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2800, Age : 18-25 years
Field Assistant : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs.4200, Age : 18-27 years
Deputy Ranger : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2400, Age : 28 years
Senior Radio Technician : 08 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200, Age : 30 years
Assistant Examiner : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200, Age : 21-30 years

Fee Payable : Rs.50/- (No fee in case of Women/ SC/ST/PH and Ex-Servicemen candidates only) by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only, available at head post office throughout the country.

How to Apply : Duly filled Application in prescribed format should be sent in an envelop superscribed with bold letters as "Application for the posts of ....................
