23rd University Entry Scheme (23rd UES) for Permanent Commission in the Army

Duly filled in applications are invited from unmarried male Engineering Degree students studying in Pre-final (3rd year) year during academic session 2012-13 for the Grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.

Vacancies : 60 posts (Civil-12, Architecture/ Building Construction Technology-2, Electrical (including Electrical & Electronics) - 8,Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Technology/ Computer Science/ M.sc. Age Limit: Applicants should not be below 18 years and not over 24 years.
Pay Band : The Indian Army offers pay scale PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/- plus MSP Rs.6000/- plus allowances as per the norms.
Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army [Height-157.5 cm, For Gorkhas and individuals belongings to hills of North Easter region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon region, the minimum height will be 5 cm less the regular required height. For candidates from Lakshadweep the height will be reduced by 2 cms from the regular height.

UPSC Engineering Services Exam-2011

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Engineering Services Examination, 2011 from 14th May, 2011 for recruitment to the positions of Indian Engineering Service. The Examination will be held at various centers across the nation.

Eligibility:

Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organization may possess M.Sc.Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify on the results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for personality test.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Fee: Rs.50/- for the candidates applying Online and Rs.100/- for the candidates applying Offline (for remote area candidates only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. No fee SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates need to pay full fee).

Only those candidates who are in remote difficult areas can apply offline. Candidates who wants to apply Offline, must apply in the Common Application Form which can be purchased from the designated Post Officers throughout the country by paying cash Rs.20. This offline application must reach the "Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post/ Courier on or before the 14/02/2011.

Applications are being invited for the posts of Engineers/ Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) for those who are appearing in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2011 :

Engineers/ Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) : 300 posts in the disciplines of Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical/ Metallurgical, Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering degree examinations with 65% marks (relaxation to pass class for SC/ST/PH) from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes. Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply, Age : Maximum 26 years as on 30th June, 2011, relaxation as per rules., Pay : Candidates selected as GAEs for one-year apprenticeship training will be paid consolidated stipend Rs.20000/- per month and Engineers/Officers Rs.24900/- per month. Upon successful completion of apprenticeship training, they may be appointed as engineers in IOC.
