UPSC Forest Service Examination 2013

NOTICE FOR INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION (IFS) , 2013

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be organizing the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2013 for the recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers ,which shall be commencing on 26/05/2013. The pattern of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2013 has been changed and in the lieu of this change the candidates appearing for IFS Examination 2013 need to appear in the Indian Civil Service Examination (Preliminary) 2013 for the same. Thus the candidates need to apply for Indian Civil Service Examination 2013 in order to appear in the Indian Forest Service Examination 2013.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree from any recognized university is a must with at least one of the following subjects namely, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Mathematics, Physics,Chemistry, Geology, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or any other equivalent qualification.
Age Limits: Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August 2013. The upper age limit is relaxable for OBC/SC/ST candidates only and certain other categories of candidates to the extent as specified in the notice by the commission.
Physical Standards: Interested candidates must be physically sound in shape according to the Regulations given in notice by UPSC.

Number of permissible attempts: The maximum number of attempts a candidate can avail are as follows (i) General Category - four (ii) OBC - seven (iii) SC/ST - No limits applicable.

Application Instructions: All eligible candidates must apply online from 05/03/2013 to 04/04/2013 only upto 11.59 PM. at http://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php . No other site has been commissioned for the same purpose.

Fee Applicable: A deposit of Rs.100/- (No fee in case of female/ SC/ST/PH candidates only ) is to be made either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will organize the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2013 on 26/05/2013 for the recruitment of various positions of Indian Administrative Service (IAS),Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services / Posts.

Prerequisites/Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: A degree from a recognised university or any other equivalent qualification.
Age Limit : Age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01/08/2013. The upper age is relaxable for OBC/SC/ST candidates and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the official Notice from the commission.
Physical Standards:All candidates must be physically sound according to the norms and regulations .
Number of Attempts permissible: The maximum number of attempts which a candidate can avail are as follows:
- General Category :4.
- OBC : 7
- Physical Handicapped :7
- SC / ST : No limits applicable .

UPSC Geologists Exam 2011

GEOLOGISTS EXAMINATION 2011

The Union Public Service Commission is going to organize the Geologists' Examination 2011 which shall start commencing from 3rd December, 2011 for recruitment to the following positions of Geologist in various departments of Govt. of India.The exam will be held at centers all across the nation. The posts are as follows:

Jr. Hydrologists [Scientist B] Group A : 07 positions in Central Ground Water Board.
Assistant Hydrologists Group B : 30 positions in Central Ground Water Board.
Geologist [Group A] : 300 positions in Geological Survey of India.

Eligibility:

(1) Age : All Candidates must 21- 32 years old as on 1st January, 2011. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per norms defined by Government of India.

(2) Educational Qualifications: Candidate must hold (i) Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University or (ii) Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration or (iii) Master's Degree in Hydrology or (iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

(3) Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Geologist's Examination, 2009 as described in the detailed advt.

Application Fee : A fee of Rs. 100/- is payable through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are not required to pay fees. However, OBC candidates must pay full fees.

INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICE (IES)/ INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE (ISS) EXAMINATION , 2011

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination commencing from 03rd December 2011 for recruitment to the Grade IV of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS). The exam will be held at various centers across the nation.

Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

Age Limit : Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2011. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India norms.
Educational Qualifications:Interested Candidate for the Indian Economic Service (IES) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics and candidate for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics from a recognized University.

(C) Physical Standards: Interested Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2011 as prescribed in the detailed advt.

Application Fee : Online application -Rs. 100/- to be deposited in any branch of SBI or through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card and in case of Offline applications - Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are not required to pay fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

Application Instructions :

Online : Candidates need to apply Online only at http://upsconline.nic.in till the prescribed deadline i.e, 29/08/2011 till 11.59 pm only.
Offline : Candidates from remote areas can also apply Offline through Common Application Form devised by the commission for all its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the nation on cash payment of Rs. 30/- and duly filled form must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by courier, on or before 05/09/2011 only.

Admit cards of SCRA 2011 being conducted on 31 July 2011 By Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) have been dispatched through Post.

All the Registered candidates will probably receive their admit cards within this week.

Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination (SCRA), 2011

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination (SCRA), 2011 on 31/7/2011 for recruitment to the Special Class Apprentices in the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

Eligibility:

Age : Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years as on 1st August, 2010. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification: Must have passes in the first or second division, The intermediate or an equivalent examination (10+2) of a University /Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
Physical Standards: Candidates should be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

Fee: Rs.50/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only for the candidates applyin through Offline method (SC/ST/PH/Female candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee)). Those applying through Online method, required to pay Rs.25/- in any branch of SBI by cash or by using Netbanking facility of SBI or by using Visa/ Master Credit/Debit Card.

How To Apply: All applications must reach the "Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by courier on or before the 25/04/2011.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Engineering Services Examination, 2011 from 14th May, 2011 for recruitment to the positions of Indian Engineering Service. The Examination will be held at various centers across the nation.

Eligibility:

Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organization may possess M.Sc.Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify on the results of the written part of the examination will be summoned for personality test.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Fee: Rs.50/- for the candidates applying Online and Rs.100/- for the candidates applying Offline (for remote area candidates only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. No fee SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates need to pay full fee).

How To Apply: Candidates may Apply Online at UPSC website upto 07/02/2011 at UPSC website http://upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php. Only those candidates who are in remote difficult areas can apply offline. Candidates who wants to apply Offline, must apply in the Common Application Form which can be purchased from the designated Post Officers throughout the country by paying cash Rs.20. This offline application must reach the "Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post/ Courier on or before the 14/02/2011.
