SCRA 2011 Exam being conducted on 31 July 2011 by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.The approximate number of vacancies to be filled through the exam is 44. More a handful of seats more than 1.4 Lakh candidates apply which makes the competition even more stiff.

The SCRA 2011 consists of 3 Papers namely:

• General Ability Test
• Physical Science(Physics and Chemistry)
• Mathematics

Each Paper carries a 200 Marks. All questions are MCQ type with four options out of which only one is correct. Candidates should keep in mind that there is negative marking for wrong answers.

As far as the cutoffs are concerned, UPSC never releases
the cutoff marks officially for any of its exam but here are some figures from the last years exam which might help you in deciding what sort of marks might help you in succeeding the exam.

• Highest Scorer (written part):Tuhin Sekhar ,313 marks.(OBC Category).

Date of Exam of IIT JEE 2011: Sunday, April 10, 2011 Paper 1 : 09:00 to 12:00 hrs; Paper 2 : 14:00 to 17:00 hrs

The IIT-JEE 2011 will consist of two question papers; both of three hours duration. Both the question papers of IIT JEE 2011 will consist of 3 separate sections on Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
The question papers will have objective type questions.

Comprehensive details on the syllabus is available on the websites of all IITs and also in the information brochure of JEE-2011. Candidates have the choice to opt for Question Papers either in English or Hindi.

Application Fee:
Application fee for Online application is Rs. 900 (for General & OBC categories) and Rs. 450 for female, SC, ST, physically disabled candidates while the Offline application fee is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 for General & OBC categories and female, SC, ST, physically disabled candidates respectively.

JEE Results will be announced on May 25, 2011, followed by Online filling of institutes’ choices from May 30th 2011 to June 13th, 2011.

How to Apply : Apply only on the Online prescribed format at MPPSC website from 12.00 noon 15/10/2010 to 12.00 midnight 15/11/2010.
